William (aka D-FENS), an unemployed, divorced engineer in the defense industry, just wants to get home to see his daughter on her birthday. Unfortunately, nothingseems to be going right for him. Stuck in traffic, he finally snaps. He gets out ofhis car and begins a walk through L.A. D-FENS begins to fight back against the everyday "injustices" he encounters on his journey home. When a unhelpful Koreanshopkeeper "doesn't give change" he demolishing the store with a baseball bat. Soonhe finds himself in gangland, and deals with some tough-looking gang members byattacking them. When the gang members try to retaliate, it fails when they crashtheir car and D-FENS takes their guns. A retiring cop (Robert Duvall) is on histrail as D-FENS heads towards Venice for his daughter's birthday.
